Patten Educational Foundation has owned, operated, or been affiliated with a number of educational institutions and programs since 1944, including Patten Academy, Oakland Bible Institute, Patten College, Prison University Project, Patten University, American College of Contract Management, American Graduate University, and other courses and programs. Patten Educational Foundation founder Bebe Patten (1913-2004) was a powerful voice in the evangelical movement, advocating for racial equality both before and during the civil rights movement.
